The Mission

We are here to play our part in God’s great commission to Make Disciples found in Matthew 28:18. Everyone is part of that plan and He created the local church to be that vehicle.

Each local church has its own fingerprint and identity of how to reach the town, city & nation that they are in.  This fingerprint and identity is what has formed our Mission Statement.  It is what we believe God has given to us as a church. The ROAR Church Network was born out of the desire to see people know God, get free, find purpose and make a difference in areas beyond where were planted for the first 30 years of our church journey.

All network churches commit to this mission as it enables each church family to collectively make disciples.

Wherever you are on your discipleship journey – you are part of this mission. If you are new, you get to join this amazing adventure; if you are already on that journey of faith and have been for a while then we really hope that this mission we are on for Jesus brings everything together, inspires, and ignites something in you.

We hope that you are wanting to sing from the same hymn sheet; join in with this sound that we are talking about that is going to reverberate through our church, town, surrounding areas, and to wherever God wants to take it, online and as we say in the statement we believe to the nation.

The network houses the central functions of our network churches so they can concentrate on outworking the mission. In many ways the network is unseen in the life of each church; but integral to the operation and leadership functions.
The network trains, equips and releases leaders, teams and volunteers to outwork the mission in the contexts that they are in.  Individual churches with relevant and engaging groups of disciples making a difference. This is not about the name of a church, but about lifting up the name of Jesus.
The network grows relationally and organically.  We have no set targets or deadlines.  We are all about healthy leaders, making disciples within healthy church environments.

The Mission At Network Level

We believe this model of church growth is both apostolic and biblical and it has firmed over a number of years from our leaders.  The model for growth is built on these 3 areas aligns with both the heritage of our church and the current vision of our parent movement, the Assemblies of God Great Britain. Over the last 30 years our church has planted, adopted and supported other churches and we are formalising those arrangements to provide a clear way of enabling churches to receive the support they need.

Planting

The network is actively planting new churches in strategic locations & with different models to bring Christ to the lost, least & last.  Our church plants are prayerfully consider by our leadership team and a long term commitments to the communities they serve.

Adopting

Bringing churches under our leadership & governance for stability and growth. Adopting churches that are struggling and need a lot of support or restoration enables them to receive transitional support through a location pastor and team to grow under the ROAR mission and model.

Supporting

For churches that are more established and have areas of health and leadership but need particular help through mentorship or support. That could be operationally, pastorally or for governance.  We offer informal and more formal support to churches, leadership teams and pastors.
